After a great first day of sleeping and exploring our surroundings, we decided that we would spend the next day doing a little of the same. Before this trip we did not make a list of places that we wanted to see or things that we had to do, simply because we were not sure what we would find when we arrived. So today we knew that was going to be something that we would have to work on. We awoke, late, since we stayed up later than we would normally at home and headed out for a walk about town. We initially thought that we would hit up the zoo, but the lines were totally long and since it was only a couple of blocks from where we are staying we figured it would be easy to do at another time.
So instead we wandered the streets and eventually stopped at this totally cute, modern, italian restaurant for a little lunch. We were not totally starving and had we been, they had this great special going on with one starter, an entree, a soda or glass of wine and then to finish you could get a coffee or a desert. Defintely a place to come back for dinner some time. Instead I opted for the roasted artichoke hearts and Paul had the fried mozzarella sticks, that had the most amazingly fresh tomatoe sauce on top. It was a lovely lunch and we sat there taking in the people and the surroundings for over an hour. I love people watching but in a country where you do not understand the language it is bumped up to a whole nother level, since you can imagine what they are saying and that is more fun than knowing any day of the week.
After lunch we headed out to Avenida Santa Fe to see how far the walk to the largest book store in Latin America would be... Well after walking a few blocks we realized that this would take us a few hours, which was so not going to happen in 82 degree weather and sandals. Instead we agreed to do it another day and head back to the condo to hit up the store for some soda and water. After a little siesta, cause that seemed neccesary after a day of walking, we decided to eat dinner on the deck at the condo and hit up the local takeout pizza joint for a cheese pizza and some empanadas to go with the meat and cheese that we got from the store earlier. It was a very romamtic and relaxing meal together, with the city as our backdrop.
Another fabulous day in Buenos Aires... Here comes day 3!

You should be a tour guide. Your descriptions are great. Glad you are having such a great time. When do you do the walking tour that Katie got for you? Keep taking great pictures and look forward to the next chapter.
It looks beautiful there but judging by the food it looks like you went to Italy. I did read though that a lot of italians imigrated to Argentina so that must by why. Keep the updates coming.
Very much italian food everywhere... Surprising how many pizza places are here and even so called traditional argentinian restaurants have at least a couple pizzas on the apppetizer menu.
